The Indian Institute of Goa (IIT GOA) had started functioning from august of 2016,which is currently being mentored by IIT Bombay.The temporary campus is the  campus of Goa College of Engineering located farmagudi, Goa.

As for the first year we have three different branches - Computer science, Electrical engineering and Mechanical engineering.Currently our lectures are held at the mining department of GEC. 

This is the Mining department where we have our lectures.We have a lecture hall, physics lab,chemistry lab,and some small rooms for tutorial classes.Classes here are 5 days a week and we get off for weekends. 

We are temporarily staying in the green campus of Goa College of Engineering (GEC). It is located in the geographical center of the state, Goa. I would say it is pretty Isolated.. It is very peaceful here. We have a few shops here at the campus.(Kirana, Stationary, canteens etc.) we also have a bank in the campus (Corporation Bank - Farmagudi Branch, inside the campus)

This is the boys hostel in which currently the first floor is occupied by IIT Goa students and the ground floor is occupied by GEC students. The next batch which will be coming in 2017 will be staying in the ground floor (most probably).

For the first batch, we have a strength of 86 students (including 8 girls).

Each floor in the hostel has 20 rooms. The rooms here are four sharing, we have two bunk beds, 4 almirah, 4 study table and 4 chairs provided by the institute in each room. In this hostel, we have two common rooms with TV in one and another room has Table tennis, chess, carom. 4 washing machines and 2 geysers are also provided in each floor. The common rooms are on the first floor and we have our mess at the ground floor.

The mess is maintained by Kanaka food management services, the same organization that is at IIT Bombay. We have breakfast started in the mess from 7:30 as the classes start from 8:30, lunch from 12:30 to 14:00,then we have snacks from 16:00 after which there are hardly someone in the hostel all of us go to play in the infinity ground (from all I mean mostly bcz there are some bookworms usually referred as “maggu” everywhere),dinner starts from 19:30. There is a buffet type system where we have to take food to the table.

For sports, we have an indoor badminton court (which is of GEC but we can use it, basketball court, football field, volleyball court, gym, and place to play cricket. For badminton, we need to get our own rackets but the shuttlecocks are provided by IIT, rest for all the sports we have kits provided by IIT. 

If we need anything else, we have to go to Farmagudi circle(750M away) and then to Ponda(1000M away from Farmagudi). There are Buses connecting them. or you can choose to take a(n expensive) cab..
The campus is pretty far from the Airport(30KM-Rs.1100), and the Railway Station(10KM-Rs.900). The place where you can board a bus, is in fact much closer(Ponda Stop, near Sun Inn).
